If you’ve ever had a meeting with Amanda Lassiter of Sweet Bella Bakery, she probably had something sweet that she made just for you. Spreading Cookie Love is her favorite thing to do and if you tell her it’s “too pretty to eat” she will tell you to just snap a pic of your treat and ENJOY.
She started Sweet Bella Bakery in the spring of 2010 when she made the first set of her signature soft, thick sugar cookies with royal icing and was instantly smitten. In the middle of the night, she snuck downstairs to stare at her creations. Twice.
Her cookies have been featured in Food Network magazine, Everyday Party magazine, and she has enjoyed working with clients like Tiffany & Co., Capital One, Nordstrom, Towne Bank, VMFA, and many others.
Her favorite thing to hear is when her clients say “I didn’t expect them to be beautiful AND delicious!” Today, her passion is teaching others that they can bake and decorate beautiful cookies too. After nine years of long and artistically gratifying work making custom cookies for her clients, she shifted her focus in 2019 to teaching detailed cookie art so others can fall in love with their own creations. Most of her cookie students come back again and again just for the fun experience and to continue to “up their cookie game.”
